Discount Rates
Please note: Discount rates may be configured, but are not currently used in calculating an item's price. This will be in the next release.
Discount rates are discounts that may be applied to item purchases by quantity. For example, if you want to provide a 5% discount to a customer who purchases 20 or more of a certain item, you may set up a discount rate table to do that.
Discount rates are maintained in tables, which one or more products may then reference. Start by creating a table, with a name and a description. Then add entries to the table for your discount levels. For example, if you want a 5% discount at 20 units or above, 10% at 50 or above, and 15% at 100 or above, you would add a table that contains the following:
| Min. Qty |
Discount |
| 20 | 5 |
| 50 | 10 |
| 100 | 15 |
Then assign the table to any products you wish to apply this discount to. You can create as many tables as you want, so you can have different discount rates for things like apparel vs. electronics, or small hardware vs. big, expensive items.
